  • Transcend Today’s Breathwork will help get you out of your head and take you beyond the surface level of reality to a deep flow-state where you build intuition, harmonize your nervous and chakras systems and build new neuro pathways. Transcend Today Breathwork is easier than standard meditation and takes you to a place that might take years with standard meditation. Everyone enters at their own level for their own unique experiences. No experience necessary. When you start doing breathwork on a regular basis, you will tune, balance and harmonize your mind, body and soul and strengthens your access to your unique inner intelligence and intuition.

  • At Transcend Today, each Breathwork session offers a unique and transformative experience, as no two sessions are alike. Your journey is influenced by your energy levels, surroundings, and the facilitator's guidance. Some sessions lead to physical sensations, where you feel a tingling sensation throughout your body, as if all your chakras are being activated. These sensations promote harmony within your nervous system, resulting in greater coherence. Along with physical reactions, you may also experience emotional releases, such as laughter or tears. Transcend Today Breathwork promotes mental clarity and understanding, helping you transcend beyond your consciousness to a higher level. Our style of Breathwork is rooted in ancient practices that aimed to harmonize the body and achieve transcendence. The ultimate goal is to connect with your authentic self, raise your vibration, and transform your life. This is what we call the purple pill.

  • At Transcend Today, we use carefully selected music tracks to create evocative breathwork sets that guide you towards transformative experiences. Our music is designed to help you quiet your thinking mind and delve deeper into your practice. While any headphones can be used, we recommend using over-ear headphones like Beats for the best possible experience. Alternatively, our music can also be played through home stereo speakers, creating an incredible in-room experience.

    **Please check to make sure your headphones work prior to session.

  • You will need a Zoom account and a device that connects to Zoom. Zoom is free and you can enter the session using whatever screen name strikes your fancy, with or without video. Your anonymity is at your discretion.

    This device will also need to connect to audio, preferably with the use of headphones. Over-ear headphones provide the best audio experience but any will do. Cranking it over a home stereo also works well.

    Find yourself a comfortable private space where you can separate yourself from distractions (pets, roommates, kiddos). It is great laying down or sitting in a chair, away from sharp objects or flames. Have a blanket and several pillows next to you.

    An eyemask or cloth for a blindfold is helpful to ensure an inward experience.

    Tissues and water bottle.

    Pro-tip - applying some chapstick before you start your session will help with dry lips.

  • It is advised not eat or have a big meal a few hours before breathing. It’s more difficult to drop into the Expanded State of Awareness if your stomach is focused on digestion

  • It's natural to feel nervous or scared before a Transcend Today Breathwork session. Your mind and psyche may go into overdrive to protect itself from the unknown, fearing that something big or dark may come out during the session. However, these worries are a form of self-protection, and it's important to remember that we are all innately filled with potential, pureness, and goodness.

    With Transcend Today's Breathwork method, your individual inner guidance chooses what it's ready to reveal and what you're ready to process, shaping your unique experience. Our sessions are conducted in a safe and comfortable container over Zoom, in the privacy of your own home. If you need any assistance during the session or have questions, the facilitator will be available in the chat to support you. So rest assured, you can fully trust the process and allow yourself to have a transformative experience.

  • We ask that you agree not to mix mind-expanding drugs and/or alcohol with breathwork.

    Breathwork is meant to stand on its own and part of the benefit of the experience is that you start to gain more confidence that you have all the answers already within you and do not need substances to access this wonderful inner guidance that everybody has.

  • There are certain medical conditions for which it is not considered safe to participate in this type of breathwork. Please do not register for one of these sessions if you have any of the following conditions or situations: Pregnancy, epilepsy, a detached retina, glaucoma, uncontrolled high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease including prior heart attack; prior diagnosis by a Medical Professional of manic disorder, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia; strokes, TIAs, seizures or other brain/neurological conditions; history of aneurysms in your immediate family, use of prescription blood thinners such as Coumadin, hospitalization for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis within the last ten years, osteoporosis that is serious enough whereby intense movement could cause physical issues and prior physical injuries that are not fully healed and could be re-injured through intense movement.

  • If you have asthma, it is fine to participate but we ask that you have an inhaler within reach just in case.

  • Confidentiality is important in these sessions so that all participants feel safe to share their experiences and be fully self-expressed during their breathing session. In order to be allowed to participate, everybody must agree to not discuss any other participant’s experience or anything that another person shares in a way in which that participant can in any way be identified and also to not audio or video tape any portion of the sessions. This agreement is also written into the release form that you will read and agree to during your registration process.

    • Make sure you have read and understand the contraindications before starting.

    • It’s best not to eat for 2 hours prior to the session.

    • Make sure the Zoom app is ready and up-to-date.

    • Headphones are recommended, over the ear are best. Test your audio to make sure it’s working prior to the session.

    • If you are in a space with other people, maybe inform them to not disturb you until you are finished. A “Do Not Disturb” sign on a closed door can do wonders for your privacy!

    • Grab a blindfold or eye mask if you prefer this to closing your eyes. They are highly recommended and can help you drop in more deeply.

    • Wear loose comfortable clothing.

    • Tissues, chapstick, a bottle of water, pillows, a blanked close by and maybe a cup if you feel the need to spit, etc.

    • Count this type of breathwork as a yoga or a workout and treat yourself to the same after activity protocols of food and rest. Drink plenty of water after sessions.

  • After your session we encourage you to share your experience. Getting your experience out into the world right after it happens is a fantastic integration technique. We provide time after each session for each participant to share their experience, if they feel inclined. Even if you do not share, it’s encouraged that you stay and listen. Hearing others experiences will often help you draw connections and conclusions in your own life.

    Additionally, we recommend journaling or drawing/artwork.

    Count this type of breathwork as a yoga or a workout and treat yourself to the same after activity protocol of food and rest. Drink plenty of water after sessions.

I grew up in a small town in NW Montana, spending much of my youth hiding out in libraries, building jumps for my BMX bike and making mixtapes for friends.

My professional journey began with nearly two decades of demystifying sourdough bread for a new generation of bakers and sharing the art and science of French bread baking through my former community business, Le Petit Outre in Missoula, Montana. I was humbled to be nominated for the James Beard Award for Best Baker in 2014.

My love for achieving flow-state led me to explore various sports, with ultra-cycling and snowboarding topping the list. However, a few years ago, I discovered an ancient breathwork method that took my flow state quest inward to a blissful state somewhere between sex and paragliding. This amazing breathwork is called Neurodynamic Breathwork and while it produces a radical experience, it also has the ablility to tune, balance, and harmonize the mind, body, and soul.

After experiencing the benefits of Neurodynamic Breathwork, I had the opportunity to learn from the three founders of the Neurodynamic Institute, who have over 50 years of experience in holotropic style breathwork.

HOW TO ACCESS THE LIVE SESSION
Keep an eye out for an email from Transcend Today. Within the email is an invite to the live session via Zoom. At your scheduled time, click on the link in the invite to go to your live session.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE LIVE SESSION
At first, we’ll do a brief intro and talk through some expectations and go over breathing instructions- this is a great time to ask some questions you have before starting! When we’re ready to start we’ll do a sound check, your facilitator will have you turn off your camera and microphone, and you’ll get yourself nice and cozy- whether it’s sitting up or laying down. Your practitioner will gently guide you into relaxation as the music starts, giving you an example of the breathing pace to guide you. Their voice will back out of the sound, letting the curated music playlist guide you. After 50-60 minutes you will guided back out of the journey. You are then invited to engage after the session to let your facilitator and anyone else in the live session hear about your journey. This is a valuable form of integration and there is so much learning when hearing about others journeys. You’re also not required to share or stay after the session, but it is recommended that you do some from of integration to get the most value and transformation out of your session. You are also welcome to turn off and follow up with us via email if you’d like!
